Lenovo heating and battery drainage issue
48 C isn't a tolerable heat for normal mobile device even company says so. I have been in this mess for last two weeks only after one month after purchasing Lenovo a6000. When I went through the on-line reviews I found that thousands of customer are suffering from the same issue but Lenovo doesn't seems to be bothered about that!!!. After a long research I found the remedy for this problem. The actual culprit behind this problem is the “Media Storage” software installed in the phone. Once the micro SD cards being inserted into the phone this media storage application starts its foul play and keep heating the phone and drains the battery in matter of minutes.
Please follow the following steps to solve this heating issue
1. Go to setting
2. Select Apps section under it
3. Select “Manage applications” option
4. Select “Media Storage” application and open app info
5. Click on force stop to temporarily solve the problem
6. Click on disable button to solve the issue permanently
Note: Disabling the media storage application will make following applications unusable
- 1. Gallery
- 2. Play music
Install any of the following third party application from google play to replace the above mentioned applications
Gallery applications
Music player
In case you have any issues with working any other applications like phone sound ringtone etc. enable the media storage for a while and stop it after that or you can keep restarting it to solve heating problem temporarily.
This method is effective for Lenovo A6000, A6000 Plus, K3 Note and most other models.
